Games may run slightly slower when played from an external HDD compared to an internal HDD or SSD due to the slower data transfer speeds of external drives. The difference in performance may not be significant for some games, but for others that require faster loading times and data access, players may notice a decrease in performance. To minimize any potential slowdowns, it is recommended to use an external HDD with faster data transfer speeds and ensure that the drive is connected via a high-speed interface such as USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt. **

New games can still work on HDDs, but they may not perform as well as on SSDs due to slower loading times and potential lag during gameplay. Many newer games are optimized for SSDs to take advantage of their faster read and write speeds. While it is still possible to play new games on HDDs, upgrading to an SSD is recommended for a smoother gaming experience. **

The recommended HDDs are those from reputable brands such as Western Digital, Seagate, and Toshiba. These brands offer a range of HDDs with different storage capacities and speeds to suit various needs. It is important to consider factors such as reliability, performance, and warranty when choosing an HDD, and these brands are known for providing high-quality products in these areas. Additionally, it is advisable to check for customer reviews and ratings to ensure the chosen HDD meets the specific requirements. **

Yes, you can install HDDs here. As long as the system has available drive bays and the necessary power and data connections, you can easily install HDDs. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines for proper installation to ensure the HDDs are securely and correctly installed. **

No, SSDs and HDDs are not always broken. Like any electronic device, they can experience failures or malfunctions over time due to various factors such as wear and tear, manufacturing defects, or physical damage. However, with proper care and maintenance, SSDs and HDDs can have a long lifespan and function effectively for many years. Regular backups of important data can also help mitigate the risk of data loss in case of a storage drive failure. **

I make sure to buy CMR-HDDs (Conventional Magnetic Recording) because they offer better performance and reliability compared to SMR-HDDs (Shingled Magnetic Recording). CMR-HDDs are better suited for tasks that require frequent read and write operations, such as gaming, video editing, and data storage for business purposes. While SMR-HDDs are more cost-effective, their slower performance and limitations make them less suitable for my needs. Therefore, I prioritize purchasing CMR-HDDs for my storage requirements. **

While some customers may still experience issues with poorly packaged HDDs on Amazon, the company has made efforts to improve its packaging standards over the years. Amazon has implemented measures to ensure that products are adequately protected during shipping, including using appropriate packaging materials and techniques. However, it is always recommended to check customer reviews and seller ratings before making a purchase to ensure the product will arrive safely. **

HDDs and SSDs are designed to store large amounts of data, which is why they are so big. HDDs use spinning disks to store data, and the size of these disks determines the overall size of the drive. SSDs, on the other hand, use flash memory chips to store data, and the number and size of these chips also contribute to the overall size of the drive. As technology advances, the storage capacity of both HDDs and SSDs continues to increase, allowing for even larger drives to be produced. **
